Such is the case of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). one of the most important mobile technology gatherings in the world and a great opportunity to keep up to date with ICT news. From February 26th to March 1st, Barcelona will become the capital of ICT with the Mobile World Congress 2018
The Mobile World Congress 2018 dates are February 26th to March 1st. The 13th edition of this unique event in Barcelona promises to repeat the success of previous calls for papers as well as proposals for participants and visitors. According to the organizers, 2,300 exhibitors will be brought together at the Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc venues.
This figure, though high, does not compare with the 108,000 professionals from 200 different countries who will attend an event that, in 2018, will once again offer renowned experiences such as 4YFN, Nextech, Women4Tech or YoMo.
The MWC will also bolster the Mobile Week Barcelona, the non-professional version of this event, started by the fair’s organizers so that ordinary citizens can keep up to date with the current status of mobile technology and participate in 120 activities occuring parallel to the congress.
These figures demonstrate not only the importance of this meeting for professionals in the sector. they also show the impact of the Mobile World Congress on Barcelona, which expects to welcome more than 100,000 people during the fair.
The heads of the Mobile World Congress 2018 explain that, thanks to the Congress, roughly 460 million euros will be spent in Barcelona and approximately 13,000 jobs related to the service sector will be created.
Mobile World Congress Shanghai
The success of the event has been such that the MWC 2018 will have a twin congress in Asia: the Mobile World Congress Shanghai, a trade fair that will be held in Shanghai from June 27-29. As in the case of the Barcelona gathering, it will bring together experts from the sector.
But the Mobile World Congress 2018 is not only a showcase of developments in the ICT sector. It is also a showcase for professionals specialized in stand design. Every year, architects from all over the world surpass themselves and surprise visitors with sophisticated and attractive designs, integrating technological innovations into ephemeral architecture.
